My vision

In literary and creative translation, I work side by side with the author of the work. This close collaboration allows me to remain faithful not only to the meaning of the original text, but also to its rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional color. A translator’s task is not to replicate words mechanically, but to make thoughtful choices—balancing meaning, tone, cadence, imagery, and voice—so that the translated text carries the same life and intent as the original. The goal is to transmit the author’s message into a new language with accuracy, sensitivity, and creative responsibility.

Alongside translation, I also provide interpreting services primarily within the art and performing arts world. I have worked as an interpreter alongside renowned theatre directors during rehearsals, the staging of theatrical productions, and workshops for stage actors. I have also served as a cultural and linguistic liaison throughout all creative stages—between actors and stage directors, as well as between artists, administration, and staff—for several editions of Biennale College, collaborating with the acclaimed Lithuanian stage director Oskaras Korshunovas.

In this context, interpreting goes far beyond simply transferring a message from one language to another. It requires a deep understanding of cultural nuance, artistic process, and human dynamics, as well as full presence, responsiveness, and vitality. This is where a profile like mine—combining hands-on experience in stage performance with a strong sensitivity to the arts—becomes particularly valuable.
